Candidates currently overseas, who are Australian Citizens or Permanent Residents and have an Australian address, can apply online using MY H.Q. If you do not have a current Australian address you can supply the address of a family member until you return.

Non-Australian Citizens or Non-Permanent Residents

What we need

The Australian Defence Force looks to overseas candidates to fill gaps in our Services that can't be timely satisfied by standard recruitment. We recognise that these candidates can bring skills and attributes to the Navy, Army and Air Force that will strengthen their overall operation and success rate.

Who we are looking for

We are looking for serving or ex-serving foreign military personnel, who can directly transfer their job and life skills to whatever Service they join, with limited training and preparation.
