Once you've finished Initial or Basic training and gone on to pass your Initial Employment Training, you can continue to specialise in your chosen field.

In some cases your training may take place interstate or overseas. It is not unusual in the Air Force, for members to undertake fully funded study overseas for a year. So you might get the chance to complete that Masters degree or something similar that you've always wanted to, in a completely new environment.

As well as specialist-training courses, the Air Force also operates promotion courses that prepare you for higher rank and the responsibilities that go with it.
